We started in the maintenance industry as part-time custodians, learned the ropes, saw the need for a reliable supplier and then founded Progressive Systems. Progressive Systems Inc. has been a family-owned and operated business since its inception. We started from scratch with a vision to provide exceptional service, products and pricing to cleaning and facility maintenance professionals throughout Delaware.
Today, we provide expertise to a variety of facility maintenance professionals and specialize in food plant sanitation. Many processors rely on our experience to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) according to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
We help facilities comply with local, state, and federal guidelines, including GHS and appropriate OSHA requirements.

Joe Carney, co-owner and operator of Progressive Systems Inc., has been running the company since its beginning in 1991 in Georgetown, DE.
Joe has spent the last three decades growing Progressive Systems Inc. Joe and his wife, Gail, purchased Eastern Waterblast Systems in Frankford, DE in March of 1995 and moved into their current location in July 1995. In the same month, Gail gave birth to their daughter, Kathlyn.
In May 2005, they purchased MarTek of Bridgeville, DE, which increased their customer base and product line considerably. In 2015, they purchased WHOLESALE JANITOR SUPPLY of Wilmington, DE and established a service center in the Wilmington market.
From PSI's modest beginnings, Joe is proud to have grown the business, and his greatest pleasure has been working with Gail, and more recently Kathlyn, as she joined the PSI team as director of marketing last summer.
He finds his biggest challenge is managing his team most effectively so everyone can thrive in their role. Joe says that putting together systems to help solve customer's problems and improve their operations is what motivates him daily. It is extremely rewarding for Joe to look back on all the hard work, along with so many good people, over the last 30 years.
In Joe’s free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and attending sporting events. Thanks Joe, for building an incredible business from the ground up and creating a great work environment for team members, customers, and suppliers.
Gail Carney, co-owner and operator of PSI, has been working for the company since the beginning in 1991. She says there have been a lot of challenges and successes running a business, especially with your spouse, but the value of learning is immensurable.
Gail explains that striving to always learn something new and evolving is an essential part of their success. At PSI, we are always challenging ourselves to stay up-to-date and on top of the industry, learning from our employees and customers and finding solutions to problems.
Gail has been given the nickname "the fixer" due to her innate ability to problem solve. She finds value in working with her family and wants customers to know that when you call PSI, you get a real person to talk to and help with your questions. Gail knows the importance of speaking with customers and developing/maintaining relationships with them.
Her favorite items that PSI carries are Vital Oxide, ECOS products, and the Solo sprayer. She is motivated by learning something new every day. Because of her love of learning, it is no surprise that in her free time she enjoys photography, painting, cooking, spending time in nature and with family, and anything else that will enhance her creativity and wellness.
PSI is so lucky to have had Gail's expertise and vision for the last 30 years!
Tom Wegner has been with Progressive Systems for 20 years now, and we believe he has developed into the best Cleaning Equipment Sales & Serviceman on Delmarva.
Although Tom is dependable, conscientious and capable, he says his favorite part of the job is the coffee break. Thomas has used a ton of products over the years and his favorite is Panel Brite Vehicle Wash. The best way to contact Tom is by phone, and be ready for some good advice and some good natured ribbing!
Tom loves spending time with his family, especially at the track, Go Cart Racing. He lives in Laurel, DE with Traci, their daughter Brianna and dogs Dixie and Rita.

Bill has been a dedicated PSI employee for 12 years. He is an expert in customer service and inventory management.

Jay Davis has been a trusted team member for 10 years, starting in March of 2011. He was a customer for about 20 years before coming to work for PSI and appreciated the high level of service and support the company offers.
In addition, Jay recognized the value of the high-quality cleaning systems we offer. Jay's responsibilities include the efficient production and packaging of our Progressive Systems Inc. line of cleaning solutions, and we really appreciate his attention to detail and integrity.
Jay loves spending time with his wife Gale, their three kids, and their seven grandkids. They enjoy camping, participating in outdoor sports, and refinishing furniture.

Dave has been working for Progressive Systems for nearly 9 years and is an industry veteran of 35 years. His impressive background in sales, cleaning chemistry, product development and production have strengthened our capability tremendously.
Dave applies this knowledge and experience in working with our customers to design systems to keep their facilities clean, safe and sanitary at minimal cost.
His favorite aspects of the job are developing relationships with our valued customers, developing new products and improving on our existing cleaning solutions as new technologies emerge. He also enjoys collaborating with the PSI team and coordinating our combined experience to benefit the customer and the company.
Dave is motivated by the old adage CANI: Constant and Never ending Improvement, and brings this approach to work on a daily basis.
Some of his favorite products are the Victory ElectroStatic Sprayers and Hotsy Pressure Washers we sell and service.

Kathlyn started working for PSI in June of 2020 as our Director of Marketing. She explains that PSI is unique because of the amount of work her parents put into ensuring employees, customers, and suppliers are satisfied. They are involved in every single facet of the business and work 7 days a week to make sure everyone at PSI is taken care of.

Her favorite products that PSI sells are the ECOS products and Vital Oxide. All of her cleaning supplies are ECOS, from dish soap to laundry detergent to disinfectant spray; and Vital Oxide was great to have in college to clean any mess.
Kathlyn doesn't have too much free time as she is doing a year of service with a non-profit, is a Master of Science Nutrition Education student at American University and is currently working on an audio show that discusses how to take a holistic approach to health. The audio show was inspired by her first book, We Can't Change What We Don't Know - How I Started to Think of Food as Medicine.
Danielle is a wonderful employee who has been with PSI since 2019. Her duties include making sure that all our orders are correct and bills are paid on-time.
She loves the family atmosphere at PSI and enjoys interacting with co-workers and clients. Danielle also appreciates the loyalty and integrity that PSI has for its customers and suppliers and how hard PSI's staff works to achieve customer satisfaction.

Dominick Ferrari had been owner/operator of Wholesale Janitor Supply, with his brother Joe, from 1982 until 2015. WJS was purchased by Progressive Systems Inc. in March of 2015, and Dom has continued to be a valuable team member all along.
Pulling back to a part time role in the last few years, Dom opens up on Friday and Saturday, working both days until 1:00pm.
Dominick's values and management style have proven to be effective over time and have solidified the union of WJS and PSI through the transition period to the present.

Evan Conway joined PSI in the first quarter of 2022 and quickly proved to be a great asset to the team. Evan works in the warehouse, delivers products and supplies to customers, and supports the everyday functioning of Progressive Systems Inc.
His favorite part of his job is getting to work in a positive environment that allows him to be a better worker and person. He says that PSI has been able to help him improve because everyone who works for the company is an honest, hard worker who truly wants the company to thrive. Evan has a background in the cleaning industry, starting his career as a window cleaner, and has been very impressed with Progressive Systems Inc. private label cleaning solutions.
Outside of work, Evan enjoys volunteering, playing his guitar and recording music, spending time with his wife (and enjoying her chorizo tacos), biking, hiking, and watching old movies. Evan's faith is important to him as he participates in Bible study and practices his faith every day. We admire Evan’s work ethic, values, and positive attitude, and we are so lucky to have him at PSI!
